Electrical Technician Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to maintain our mechanical operations in our facility. You will deal with requests for electrical repairs and breakdowns as well as carry out routine maintenance and equipment upgrades as needed. Candidates must have knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and make repairs or changes as required. We required applicants who have at least two years of professional technician experience and have a flexible schedule.
Electrical Technician Responsibilities
- Conduct tests and assessments of systems and repairs to ensure quality
- Utilise and store all equipment properly
- Assemble and install electrical panels and equipment
- Communicate timelines for repairs to those impacted
- Respond quickly to service requests and troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Install new equipment and wiring to infrastructure as needed
- Log all services and report progress
- Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule
Electrical Technician Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical engineering technology preferred
- Familiar with safety equirements and company regulations
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems
- 2+ years of experience as an electrical technician
- Able to read technical drawings
- Proficient with manual and power tools
