Step One: Place Your Job Advert
To start the process, you need to choose from either our Premium, Corporate, Branded or Targeted packages, as outlined in the above table.
Following the placement of the advert, if a call has not yet taken place, our recruitment expert will contact you for a briefing on the role and what you’re looking for from candidates.
Step Two: Briefing And Support From Our Experts
During the initial briefing, the role will be discussed and we’ll get an outline of the person you are wishing to recruit.
Throughout the project, our team will be in touch with you, so that you get full visibility over the recruitment process.
Telephone screening questions will be agreed at the start, so our staff can check that candidates have the basic skills your business requires. Once we’ve screened initial candidates, we’ll set times and interview dates for you and liaise with candidates.
Step Three: CV filtering
Once the applications are in, the team at Hiring People will review and shortlist applications. You will be able to track the progress on our ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
We’ll use your job description and the requirements you gave us to ensure that you only see the best candidates for the role.
Step Four: Telephone Screening
Suitable candidates are then telephone interviewed by our team of hiring experts to get an initial feel for their aptitude and suitability for your role.
Interviews will be either recorded telephonically or in written format, so you can review our process and get a complete overview of every interview. Final shortlisted candidates shared with you to review and choose from.
Step Five: Interview Scheduling
To save you time, Hiring People can also schedule the interviews candidates, so you can meet them face to face at your convivence.
We’ll then give you the chance to choose the best candidate for your job.

How long can I access the CVs for?
When you work with Hiring People, you get access to everything you paid for long after your job search is over. As such, all CVs will be available on our candidate management software for 2 years. You can view them at your leisure, and if you need to choose a new candidate who will better benefit your company, you can.
What happens if I don’t recruit?
While it’s unlikely, sometimes our fixed cost recruitment clients don’t find the candidates they want during the process. We’ll always work hard to ensure that you get access to the right potential candidates, but things don’t always work out for the best. Thankfully, with our flat rate pricing recruitment service, we offer to re-run the service at 50% of the cost if you don’t recruit the first time around. That means you can find the right applicants easily with this affordable service.
Can I view all of the CVs?
Yes, you have access to our candidate management/applicant tracking software where you can see all of the applications. After the closing date for applications, the CVs are stored for 2 years, so you have plenty of time to come back and review them!
How many applicants can I expect?
This varies significantly depending on the job role. However, thanks to our exceptional service offering and broad connections in the recruitment world, if someone is actively looking for your advert then they will find it easily. We work with a vast range of job boards, but also remain independent, so we can share your advert far and wide.
What is a CV database & social media search?
Our CV database and social media search is a basic online check we undertake to make sure you find the best candidates. A Hiring People Resourcer will manually search across CV databases and Social media for matched candidates. These candidates will be contacted by email and will be invited to apply for the role.
How do I pay?
You can pay by credit card online or bank transfer by arrangement in advance. The flat rates on our fixed fee service mean you always know what you’re buying and won’t get any surprise fees.
What is the targeted service?
Targeted service includes our Corporate job advertising package. In addition, applicants are targeted from a database of 12 million CVs and 20 million LinkedIn profiles. Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the job.
Guide Service SLAs
Our SLAs for each client are agreed on a case by case basis, but as a guide, the following will usually apply:
- Review up to 60 CVs
- Telephone screen up to 8 applications
- Feedback results of CV screen and screening to client once per week
- Email correspondence confirming interview date, time and location for up to 5 candidates
