1. Have A Long-Term Strategy
The key when buying job advert credits is to adopt a long-term strategy as it will ultimately be more cost-effective. For example, if you know that your company will, in all likelihood, be hiring 10 new employees over the next year, it makes sense to buy all 10 job advert credits in one go, rather than buying each credit as you need it. You will find that you are in a much better position to strike a deal with the job board you choose (for example CWjobs or S1jobs) if you use this strategy. There will always be costs involved in whatever advertising strategy you use. But generally speaking, with online job advertising, there is usually a deal to be made, as mentioned above. When negotiating, be clear about your objectives and have a good idea what kind of deal you are looking to make.

Do remember however, that job boards are there to make money so you need to be realistic about the best deal you can get…in other words, you will need to give as well as take. Don’t expect to get something for nothing!

So it’s worth speaking with the job board and listening to their advice (they have done this before, after all!). Some job boards will inevitably encourage you to take the most expensive option but the majority will encourage you to use the advertising solution that is best suited to your company and your vacancy.
